A tapeless workflow solution, Curator facilitates the efficient population of a library of IPV WM9 proxy media – from a source of file-based high-resolution content, SDI based content or existing IPV proxy media – together with its associated metadata, by using real-time encoding and faster than real-time transcoding technology from IPV.

Curator then enables a community of users on both PC and Apple Mac, to search for and efficiently access the proxy media and metadata at their desktops, using sophisticated tools to fulfil their workflows. Sub-clip editing, review and approval, media annotation and general proxy media / metadata viewing are all easy with Curator as the media is timecode aware and frame accurate. Advanced desktop tools for editing and annotation are complimented by advanced media transport controls with scene detection, video thumbnails and multi-track audio. The viewing and repurposing of proxy files is possible even whilst ingest is still taking place, so no valuable time is lost.
